Job Description Summary The Vivarium Operation Manager is a key leadership position responsible for the overall management, strategic planning, and daily operation of the animal vivarium. Tasked with ensuring the highest standards in animal welfare, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency, the Vivarium Operation Manager serves as the linchpin connecting researchers, veterinary staff, animal care technicians, and administrative teams. This role is critical to the success of biomedical research, pharmacological studies, toxicology, and other scientific investigations that rely on the ethical and humane use of laboratory animals.This position will be located at Cambridge, MA and will not have the ability to be located remote #LI-Onsite Job Description Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Management:

The role is primarily based within laboratory animal facilities, which may include exposure to biological hazards, allergens, and animal-related substances. Some lifting and physical activity may be required, along with the use of personal protective equipment. Participation in on-call rotations for after-hours or weekend coverage are necessary depending on institutional needs. The salary for this position is expected to range between $108,500 and $201,500 per year. The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors. Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
