*Description*
We are looking for a proactive and customer-oriented IT Support Technician to join our technical support team. This role is ideal for individuals with hands-on experience in desktop support and a passion for helping users resolve hardware and software issues. You will be responsible for maintaining IT equipment, assisting users with technical problems, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of desktop systems and peripherals. Key Responsibilities Hardware & Software Support * Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, copiers, faxes, and projectors. * Install and troubleshoot software applications and operating systems. * Investigate and resolve hardware and software issues both remotely and on-site. * Evaluate software patches and updates to determine their effectiveness in resolving desktop issues. End-User Assistance * Provide technical support to staff via phone, email, and in-person. * Educate users on resolving common hardware/software problems and best practices. * Deliver software application support and guidance for Microsoft Office and other business tools. * Assist with onboarding new employees by setting up workstations and ensuring proper system access. Inventory & Asset Management * Monitor inventory levels of frequently used IT equipment and supplies. * Maintain a working inventory of desktop support items and submit requests for replenishment as needed. * Record and track receipt of computer equipment and maintain accurate asset logs. Video Conferencing & Peripheral Support * Provide on-site support for video conferencing hardware and software. * Maintain and install printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices. Required Qualifications * High School Diploma or GED. * 6+ months of experience supporting Microsoft Office products and assisting end-users. * Strong customer service and communication skills (written and verbal). * Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and peripheral devices. * Associate's Degree in Information Technology or related field. * 6 months to 2 years of experience in a desktop support or IT technician role. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
