Position Summary |
The
FTMBA/
MSBA Program Coordinator provides essential academic support and operational oversight for the
MBA and MS in Business Analytics (
MSBA) programs. This position is responsible for delivering comprehensive academic advising to a diverse graduate student population, including those in specialized pathways such as the Pathway
MBA, Dual Degree
MBA, and
MSBA Double Dawgs programs. In addition to advising, the role oversees all aspects of course scheduling across eight academic units, requiring close collaboration with faculty and advisors to ensure accurate, timely, and student-centered scheduling using the Banner system. The incumbent also leads the planning and execution of key academic events and contributes to broader program initiatives through additional duties as assigned. Success in this position requires strong organizational skills, data management proficiency, and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships across a complex academic landscape. |

Academic Advising
- The FTMBA/MSBA Program Coordinator provides comprehensive advising support to MBA and MS in Business Analytics (MSBA) students, including those in specialized pathways such as the Pathway MBA, Dual Degree MBA, and MSBA Double Dawgs programs.
- This role ensures students clearly understand and meet degree requirements by guiding course selection, developing individualized academic plans aligned with career objectives, and assisting with registration and long-term program planning.
- The program coordinator proactively monitors student progress toward graduation, intervenes as needed to promote academic success, and connects students with appropriate campus resources such as counseling services, disability accommodations, and engagement opportunities.
- The position maintains accurate and detailed electronic records of all advising interactions, degree plans, and milestone completions.
- Effective collaboration with faculty and administrative partners is essential to enhance student support services and ensure seamless delivery of academic guidance.
- The program coordinator is expected to respond promptly and professionally to student inquiries through various communication channels and must stay current on policies and requirements pertaining to the MBA and MSBA programs.

Course Scheduling
- This employee is responsible for the development, coordination, and execution of course schedules for the MBA and MSBA programs.
- This position serves as the central liaison for eight academic units that deliver coursework across both programs and requires exceptional organizational and relationship management skills to ensure cohesive and timely collaboration.
- The coordinator works closely with academic advisors from each unit to align course offerings with student needs, program requirements, and faculty availability.
- Responsibilities include maintaining accurate course data within Banner, including meeting times, classroom assignments, instructor details, and enrollment limits.
- The role also involves producing detailed reports on enrollment trends, classroom utilization, and scheduling conflicts to support data-informed planning and process improvements.
- Strong interpersonal skills and clear, proactive communication are essential, as the coordinator will serve as the primary contact for scheduling inquiries and must foster positive, solution-oriented partnerships with faculty, advisors, and administrative staff.
- Additionally, the coordinator is expected to identify and recommend enhancements to scheduling workflows and system usage to increase efficiency and ensure compliance with institutional policies.

- The position provides essential support to the Director of Student Engagement in the collection, organization, and reporting of data related to Assurance of Learning (AoL), media rankings surveys, and annual reporting processes.
- In addition, the role assists in managing and coordinating the activities and meetings of the Full-Time MBA (FTMBA) Faculty Committee, as well as the FTMBA and MSBA Advisory Councils.
- Responsibilities include scheduling meetings, preparing materials, tracking follow-up actions, and ensuring effective communication among committee and council members to support the strategic objectives of the graduate business programs.
