The Director, Compensations serves as leader for company-wide compensation programs. Defines and develops the 1-3 year strategy for compensation programs as part of the GMR Total Rewards strategy; leads the annual planning process to identify enterprise-wide priorities, develop framework, policies and processes. This includes:
- Leading in-progress job architecture project to completion
- Leading adoption of pay for performance
- Managing annual market review process for the budgeting process, recommending market adjustments and annual merit budget.
- Responsible for individual job benchmarking and market analysis evaluations and makes recommendations for existing, new or changing jobs, offers, promotions, and transfers in accordance with appropriate compensation policies and guidelines.
- Co-leading project to streamline pay scales and pay practices.
Responsibilities:
- Designs, implements, and administers multiple core corporate compensation programs, including short-term and stock based long-term incentive plans.
- Develops and delivers enterprise-wide training and communication materials for programs.
- Ensures compliance with current laws, regulations, and contract provisions.
- Creates and monitors compensation guidelines and procedures.
- Ensures the compensation team has appropriate resources; including participating in and purchasing salary surveys and software.
- Keeps current on trends and market practices; recommends initiatives to attract and retain top talent with diverse needs.
- Prepares, organizes, and executes logistics for projects; including HRIS requirements gathering, design, and testing.
- Responsible for ensuring a solution is reached by project timelines.
- Recommend external vendors for technology solutions, as needed.
- Articulates business case for technology solution expenditures.
- Assist the VP of Compensation/Leadership Development and CHRO with Executive Compensation analysis and Compensation Committee presentations
- Administers the Long-Term Incentive Program, which includes multiple award types.
- Primary leader for consolidating end of year executive compensation reporting.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Eight Years of Experience Managing compensation in a large, geographically diverse organization.
- Experience and demonstrated knowledge in Human Resources and Human Resource Information Systems.
- Highly proficient in Excel, prefer experience in Access or Power BI, and data management.
- Highly proficient in articulating insights and indicated actions from data.
- Experienced in configuring, testing, and maintaining systems to support company-wide projects.
- Workday experience required.

- Highly proficient communication skills required, both interpersonal and written communications.
- Collaborates and builds relationships with operations and support leadership.
Education/Licensing/Certification:
- BS/BA or equivalent experience in related field, Master's Degree Preferred
- Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) preferred
