Description JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Backup and Disaster Recovery (DR) Specialist to join our IT operations team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone with foundational IT knowledge who is eager to grow in the areas of data protection, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning. You will assist in maintaining, monitoring, and supporting our backup and recovery systems, ensuring the availability and integrity of critical data and services across the organization. 40%Daily Backup Monitoring & Reporting -Review Veeam job statuses, logs, and alerts -Identify and escalate failed or incomplete jobs -Generate daily/weekly backup reports utilizing proven reporting tools -Escalate failed jobs or anomalies to Veeam Support 20%. Training & Skill Development -Learn Veeam best practices, PowerShell scripting, and certification prep -Shadow team members and Technical Account Manager (TAM) during complex tasks 15%Workstation Agent Deployment and configuration -Assist with installation of Veeam agents on servers/workstations -Configure backup jobs, retention policies, and schedules -Participate in DR drills and recovery simulations -Update runbooks and recovery procedures 15%User Support & Ticket Resolution -Respond to backup-related support tickets -Restore files or systems as requested 10%Assist with System Updates & Patch Management (Backup Tools) -Apply updates to backup software and agents -Test compatibility and performance Other Duties as assigned and the following: Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision and manages efforts based on proper prioritization, documentation, closure, takes corrective actions and/or escalate incidents to reduce downtime. Skills* CompTIA A+, network+, Disaster recovery Top Skills Details CompTIA A+,network+ Additional Skills & Qualifications KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Basic understanding of data backup concepts (e.g., full/incremental/differential backups) Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux operating systems Knowledge of file systems, storage technologies, and network basics Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills Good communication and documentation skills Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies Experience Level Entry Level Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $20.00/hr.
