THIS POSITION IS W2 ONLY - NO C2C Hybrid in Cleveland OH, Buffalo NY or Albany NY - Please do not apply if you cannot work in these locations Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Configuration & Asset Management Engineer to support and enhance the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform for our banking client. This role is critical in maintaining CMDB accuracy, supporting MID server operations, scripting discovery enhancements, and contributing to regulatory compliance initiatives. The ideal candidate will collaborate across technical and business teams to optimize workflows and ensure alignment with ITIL and CSDM standards. Essential Responsibilities * Maintain and improve CMDB integrity by managing configuration items (CIs), relationships, and data quality within ServiceNow * Architect CMDB structures including classes, attributes, and relationships in alignment with the Common Service Data Model (CSDM) * Develop and implement governance policies and workflows to enhance CMDB accuracy, efficiency, and compliance * Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot ServiceNow MID servers to ensure reliable discovery operations * Script and automate discovery processes; identify and implement new discovery opportunities across the IT landscape * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to engineer scalable solutions and document system changes * Support regulatory remediation efforts through process optimization and platform enhancements * Conduct regular audits and control procedures to ensure CMDB health and completeness * Analyze asset and configuration management processes to identify opportunities for improvement Education * Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field - or equivalent professional experience Work Experience * Minimum 10 years of experience in Information Technology * Proven expertise in ServiceNow, particularly CMDB and Discovery modules * Hands-on experience with MID server support and scripting within ServiceNow * Familiarity with ITIL or ITSM frameworks Certifications (Preferred Not Essential) * ServiceNow System Administrator * ServiceNow Discovery and Mapping * ServiceNow CMDB Foundations Key Skills Skill AreaDescriptionCMDB ManagementExpertise in managing CIs, relationships, and data modelingDiscovery & MID Server SupportExperience configuring and maintaining MID servers and probesServiceNow Scripting (JavaScript)Ability to automate and customize workflowsITIL / ITSM FrameworksStrong understanding of IT service management processesCSDM AlignmentFamiliarity with Common Service Data Model standardsData Quality & GovernanceExperience with audits, certifications, and CMDB health maintenanceAsset Lifecycle ManagementKnowledge of asset tracking from procurement to retirementStakeholder CollaborationAbility to engage technical and business teams to deliver solutionsRegulatory RemediationExperience adapting systems to meet compliance requirementsProcess OptimizationSkilled in identifying and implementing workflow enhancementsPay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $146000.00/yr.
