*Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist - Remote (OR, WA, ID, UT)* Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire (6 months with potential for extension/conversion)
Hourly Rate: based on experience and regional compensation levels Job Summary The *Clinical Intake & Correspondence Specialist* is responsible for receiving, researching, and initiating action on documentation and requests related to Utilization Management (UM), Care Management (CM), and Disease Management (DM) programs. While this role does not involve clinical decision-making, it requires close collaboration with licensed health professionals to ensure appropriate responses and actions. Key Responsibilities * Receive and review incoming documentation from various sources. * Research and triage requests related to UM, CM, and DM programs. * Collaborate with clinical staff to determine appropriate next steps. * Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA standards. * Manage correspondence and documentation in a timely and organized manner. * Work efficiently in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Top Skills Required * Ability to work remotely full-time. * Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and past 6:00 PM Pacific Time. * Willingness to work overtime when needed. * Strong independent work ethic. * Punctuality and consistent attendance. Preferred Skills (Nice-to-Haves) * Experience with EHR systems. * Familiarity with claims status, revenue cycle, and prior authorization processes. * Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and coding (CPT, DX, HCPCs). * Experience in health insurance or medical office settings (e.g., scheduling, front office). * Professional or business letter writing and correspondence experience. Qualifications * High school diploma or GED. * 3 years of customer service or clinical services experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Strong customer service skills including empathy, patience, and confidentiality. * Intermediate computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, Outlook, Internet). * Strong organizational, data entry, and administrative skills. * Ability to investigate and resolve issues related to clinical programs. * Creative problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Work Environment * Remote: Candidates must reside in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or Utah. * May be required to work weekends; flexible weekday time-off options available. * Must use company-provided equipment and a hard-wired ISP (Cable Modem, DSL, or Fiber). Satellite or mobile Wi-Fi is not supported. * Internet speed requirements: Download 50 Mbps, Upload 5 Mbps. * Contractors must be fully dedicated to assigned work during scheduled hours-no outside employment or caregiving activities permitted. Important Note Applicants who currently use tobacco or nicotine products are not eligible for employment at this time. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
