About the Role:

As a Microsoft (MS) Dynamics analyst in the Modernization and Data Solutions practice area, you will be responsible for analyzing, configuring and supporting enhancements to new and existing MS Dynamics platforms to meet evolving business needs. NYSTEC is considered a trusted advisor, providing subject matter expertise and connecting the dots for our clients. NYSTEC has consulted on some of the largest Medicaid initiatives and has served in various roles across a multitude of New York State healthcare technology systems.

Serving as an MS Dynamics analyst, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will include collaborating with team members on modernization enhancements. You should have experience with MS Dynamics and government programs and services, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with end users.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work as part of a team, supporting an existing application platform and contributing to efforts working on potential modernization enhancements.
  • Understand the operational and IT requirements of the New York State Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and the New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS).
  • Assess and configure software, applications, custom solutions, and new applications using MS Dynamics.
  • Ensure the integration of new enhancements with existing systems.
  • Evaluate configuration changes through deployment and change/release management cycles.
  • Create documentation for the current system and applied patches.
  • Provide extended support for post-deployment issues; deliver ongoing maintenance services.


About you:
Required Qualifications

  • Experience with MS Dynamics 365, including cloud-hosted environments.
  • Knowledge of MS Power Platform tools and integration tools.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and web services in Dynamics - knowledge of Representational State Transfer (RESTful) and Simple Object Access Protocol (SOAP) web services.
  • Knowledge of data visualization to configure Structured Query Language (SQL) Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for MS Dynamics cloud applications.
  • Working knowledge of MS Entra Active Directory (AD).


Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • Two or more years of experience working in an MS Dynamics 365 environment.
  • Experience with SQL databases.
  • Working knowledge of Entra AD.
  • Testing and troubleshooting experience.


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree and threeyears of experience as noted above.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.


The target base salary for this position is $60,000 - $82,000 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
