Job Description:

Dynamo Technologies LLC is seeking a Security Specialist (Technology and Program Protection) to support U.S. Department of Defense programs under the Systems Engineering and Technical Assistance (SETA) Support Services contract. The Security Specialist will provide expert program protection, technology safeguarding, and security oversight to ensure the integrity of sensitive programs and technologies. This role requires deep experience in technology protection, cybersecurity, counterintelligence, and risk mitigation. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, problem-solving, and compliance skills and experience applying DoD security policies and directives to protect critical assets.

This position is onsite at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.

Duties/ Responsibilities:



  • The Security Specialist will provide Technology and Program Protection and assistance to an Army acquisition program.
  • Applies scientific and engineering principles to identify security vulnerabilities in hardware, software, or firmware, assesses risks, and develops mitigations associated with system vulnerabilities.
  • Protects critical technology and recommends appropriate countermeasures and program protection strategies.
  • Provides subject matter expertise in the SETR process and through each adaptive acquisition framework pathway.

  • Key duties include:



    • Orchestrate program protection activities and develop Program Protection Plans (PPP).
    • Conducting system decompositions and analysis to identify Critical Program Information (CPI) and Information-Communications Technology (ICT) Critical Components.
    • Evaluate risks to critical program information, mission critical functions, mission critical components, and recommend appropriate security controls/countermeasures.
    • Provide support to system threat assessments, vulnerability identification/analysis, and risk assessments.
    • Provide security and program protection subject matter expertise to acquisition programs.




Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Must have a thorough understanding of engineering principles and analyze a wide range of technology principles.
  • Must have familiarity with security requirements (e.g., anti-tamper, exportability features, supply chain risk management, secure design, defense-in-depth and cybersecurity implementation) required.
  • Certifications (desired): Defense Acquisition University Program Protection Credential such as ACQ 160 or ENG 260 or equivalent experience.


Nice-to-Have Skills:



  • Experience developing, maintaining, and implementing Science and Technology Protection Plans and/or Program Protection Plans.
  • Understanding program protection security requirements, such as anti-tamper, exportability features, supply chain risk management, secure design, defense-in-depth, and cybersecurity implementation.
  • Working knowledge of DoD Instruction 5000.83, "Technology and Program Protection to Maintain Technological Advantage."


Education and Experience:



  • Cybersecurity or similar- Master's Degree in a specialized field plus a minimum of 4 years of applicable experience; or a bachelor's degree in the specialized field plus 5 years of applicable experience; or a bachelor's degree in any field with a minimum of 7 years of specialized experience.


Travel Requirement:



  • Less than to 25%
