Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with planning, scoping, and IT risk assessment activities, with a focus on identifying technology- Support the planning and scoping of IT risk activities by gathering data and assisting with preliminary assessments.
  • Learn about business applications, system architecture, and automated workflows that support key processes.
  • Assist in reviewing automated and general IT controls (e.g., access, change management, operations) under supervision.
  • Help conduct IT risk assessments and contribute to the development of basic control documentation and test procedures.
  • Prepare process documentation such as flowcharts and control matrices with guidance from senior team members.
  • Use tools like Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate to help with reporting and simple automation tasks.
  • Identify and suggest basic opportunities to improve controls using technology, with support from senior staff.
  • Provide support to internal and co-sourced teams during control testing and effectiveness reviews.
  • Document IT control observations and assist in tracking remediation efforts.
  • Help evaluate control deficiencies and contribute to summary reports.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to understand control gaps and assist in remediation efforts.
  • Keep team members informed of progress and escalate issues when needed.
  • Build positive working relationships with Digital and business process teams through regular communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline preferred.
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent (in progress or completed).
  • 5+ years in SOX/CSOX with strong ICFR knowledge.
  • Familiarity with governance, risk, and control frameworks
  • Understanding of IT general, automated, and business controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Visio, Access, and Power Platform tools.
  • Industry knowledge in gas Midstream and/or Utilities is an asset.
  • Strong multitasking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15% (domestic/international); valid driver's license required.

We offer a competitive salary range of $94,000 to $136,000 per year, commensurate with experience, education, and skills. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
