Job Summary: The Intern, STS Accounting Methods provides support to the team by assisting with data collection, basic research, and preparation of workpapers for federal tax accounting method projects. This position offers hands-on experience in tax consulting, exposure to client service, and opportunities to develop technical and professional skills while working under close supervision. Job Duties:
- Assists in gathering and organizing client financial data and supporting documentation
- Prepares and maintains basic workpapers for use in tax accounting method analyses
- Performs directed research on federal tax accounting method topics and summarizes key points
- Supports the team in preparing draft accounting method change forms and related schedules
- Attends team meetings and takes notes to track action items and project status
- Assists with administrative tasks such as file management and document formatting
- Observes client calls and internal discussions to gain exposure to client service and project management
- Other duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's program, required; with a focus in Accounting, Tax, or Finance, preferred
Experience:
- Leadership experience, preferred

- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel & Word, preferred
