ANALYGENCE hasan immediate opportunity for a Senior Budget Analyst in support of the Air Combat Command's 67th Cyberspace Wing (67 CW), 318 Range Squadron (318 RANS) at Lackland AFB. The wing provides cyber operations and network warfare capabilities to Air Force and joint task force commands.

In this role you will aggregate data from multiple contracts along with financial and accounting systems to provide the Government Lead, Wing Commander, and Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Accounting Policy and Operations (SAF/FMFO) with accurate and timely financial reporting. Additional responsibilities include:


  • Assist with internal control reviews of financial and accounting data and reports. Identify weaknesses and develops corrective action plans and new procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy of financial policies and systems.
  • Manage execution of various budgets and tracks Program Elements (PEs) as required.
  • Manage obligations, expenditures, and Uniform Financial Reporting standards (UFRs).
  • Prepare Military Interdepartmental Purchase Requests (MIPRs), Purchase Request (PRs), Miscellaneous Obligation Reimbursement Documents (MORDs), Unfunded Requirements (UFRs), and de-obligation documents.
  • Execute transactions through the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMS), Comprehensive Cost and Requirement System (CCaR) and Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) financial systems.
  • Perform data management and analysis using a variety of financial systems and reconcile reports and transactions related to assigned programs.
  • Interface and coordinate with other financial organizations to provide budgetary support.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports and charts to present budget analysis for management review.
  • Assist with responses to financial queries, conducting outlay, and obligation analysis.
  • Assist with the tracking and reporting of execution performance to include attending customer and program/project status review meetings.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process.
  • Assist with the formulation, development, and execution of budgets, financial plans, and multi-year programs required to properly fund and meet program resource requirements.
  • Assist in updating Command/DoD databases, coordinating the write-ups for programs and projects with appropriate personnel, gathering information for over-guidance requests, and consolidating all information for the responsible portfolios.
  • Assist the Government with responding to ad-hoc command programs and operations, financial management, and budget queries.
  • Active DoD TS/SCI
  • Minimum of 5-7 years' experience in budgeting or analysis within DoD and/or commercial organizations.
  • Direct DoD or Military budget experience/background, preferably Air Force (USAF).
  • Previous experience working with a command (preferably USAF) desired.
  • Experience with Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System (DEAMs) or Defense Agency Initiative (DAI) budget system desired.
  • Experience with processing MIPRs.
  • Experience monitoring financial execution.
  • Ability to provide sound advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff.
  • Ability to manage competing tasks.
  • Easily works within and across teams.
  • Familiar with Power BI and other data visualization tools desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to include Teams or similar workplace tools.
  • DoD FM Cert Level 1, 2 desired.
  • DAWIA BUS-FM or BUS-CE Practitioner or Advanced Certification desired.
  • Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM) desired.
  • Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) Certification desired.
