Job Duties: Associate, Banker - Financing Group with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, New York. Run portfolio valuations, including analyzing transportation portfolios, determining appropriate modeling assumptions, and providing structural recommendations. Conduct scenario analyses using rating agency models through tactical selection of model assumptions and through evaluations on key metrics. Evaluate warehouse lines across various balance sheet transactions. Work with senior and junior professionals on presentations prepared for transactions, investment banking pitches, client service projects on finance topics, and work on financial models and draft memoranda required to gain internal approvals from investment banking committees. Oversee cross-functional relationships with the desk and the broader investment banking teams, to ensure portfolio activities and client presentations are accurately represented. Act as a client advisor and perform pricing and analytics in securitization transactions. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Management Science, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related position. Prior employment must include two (2) years of experience with: performing credit analysis, including analyzing a company's financial position, evaluating historical cashflow, assessing the maturity profile of total borrowings and the ability to refinance in the future; analyzing financial data and reviewing operations data and securitization models; reviewing legal documents that support financial transactions; propose buying and lending strategies and manage exceptions for transactions with for internal banking, sales, and trading teams and clients; facilitating and managing communication flow between various stakeholders; and developing or leveraging financial models and presentations related to various topics, including business strategy and corporate finance, using Microsoft Office and Excel. Domestic travel required about 5% of the time to attend client meetings and industry conferences. All travel expenses paid by the firm.
