Description The Litigation Support Team at Leidos currently supporting the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, DC has an opening for a Law Clerk to perform litigation support duties via said role. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the U.S. Department of Justice achieve their mission. Typical assignments may include the following but not limited to:
Basic Qualifications: - Requires Law degree, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study or, an equivalent level of legal training or experience or an equivalent level of education may be substituted. - Requires sound working knowledge of federal and state court systems, legal research procedures, and legal research resources. - Thorough knowledge of legal research tools such as LEXIS and Westlaw. - Must have hands-on familiarity with a variety of computer applications, including word processing, databases (such as document review and file management systems), spreadsheets, and imaging. - Role also requires hands-on familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery procedures and resources. - Excellent written and oral communication skills. - Excellent analytical skills. - Ability to consistently deliver highest quality work under extreme pressure will be very important. - Must be a U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: - Experience working in a Government and/or Litigation Support environment in conjunction with basic qualifications, preferred. - Experience with Relativity, helpful and should be referenced within resume, if applicable. - Trial experience very helpful. - Experience with (or an interest in) informal adjudications under an agency's enabling act and regulations. - Experience handling large volume of cases or claims, strongly preferred. - Current or active clearance. This position is covered under the Service Contract Act and is subject to minimum requirements. Leidos ensures that all provisions are satisfied. The pay for this position will be $38.77/hr.
