Health Systems Specialist

As required by our governmental client, this position requires an active top secret clearance to be considered.

A government contract requires that this position be restricted to U.S. citizens or legal permanent residents. You must provide documentation that you are a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident to qualify.

As a Health Systems Specialist, you will manage and optimize medical readiness processing for the Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) and associated Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve units, and Department of the Army civilians. This role is instrumental in ensuring seamless Medical Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) for deployments and redeployments within the INSCOM Area of Responsibility (AOR) by coordinating data systems, conducting policy compliance, and delivering education and readiness support.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Lead coordination of Medical Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) across INSCOM and supporting units.
  • Plan and implement medical readiness reporting processes, including MEDPROS submission and compliance.
  • Analyze, interpret, and manage MEDPROS data; maintain accurate and actionable readiness databases.
  • Produce presentations, briefs, executive summaries, and narrative reports for INSCOM leadership.
  • Deliver MEDPROS training to military and civilian personnel on Individual Medical Readiness (IMR) programs.
  • Oversee immunization tracking within MEDPROS, ensuring campaign implementation (e.g., influenza, anthrax).
  • Serve as INSCOM's MEDPROS subject matter expert and manage user access permissions.
  • Conduct Staff Assistance Visits (SAV) and Organizational Inspection Program (OIP) readiness reviews.
  • Assist in policy development, guideline updates, and coordination with associated Military Treatment Facilities (MTFs).
  • Collaborate with Defense Health Agency, Army leadership, contractors, and community stakeholders on readiness initiatives.

Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested:

Education:

  • Master's Degree preferred, or Bachelor's Degree, in Health Education, Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, Public Health, or related field from an accredited institution.

Experience:

  • Experienced in medical readiness systems, particularly MEDPROS and related Army health tracking frameworks.
  • Skilled in readiness analytics, regulatory interpretation, and readiness program compliance.
  • Proficient in developing readiness reporting systems, dashboards, and training modules.
  • Strong communicator with proficiency in briefings and policy recommendations for senior stakeholders.

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Expertise in MEDPROS operations and complementary immunization tracking systems (e.g., AFCITA, RIDES).
  • Knowledge of military, DoD, Army, and DHA readiness policies, mobilization standards, and deployment health mandates.
  • Strong capabilities in data analysis, standards interpretation, and readiness forecasting.
  • Familiarity with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and readiness data management tools.

Abilities:

  • High-level research, reasoning, and judgment for analyzing readiness challenges and recommending solutions.
  • Self-directed in managing complex readiness data and coordinating with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled in developing relationships across all levels of military health and readiness communities.
  • Physically capable of light activity in office environments-walking, bending, and carrying documentation when required.
