DESCRIPTION OF WORK

As a supervisor, you will serve as the front line of our agency and be responsible for the overall operational planning, direction, supervision and coordination of intake services. In this position, you will oversee the team responsible for processing all referrals through our Screening Unit and ensure that each is served in compliance with timeliness and regulatory requirements. You can expect to develop and maintain a working knowledge of all regulatory and policy and procedure mandates. Your work will involve maintaining statistics as outlined in our policies and monitoring the effectiveness of services provided through statistics and log keeping. Teamwork and collaboration are essential as you will also inform the Social Service Coordinator of service delivery issues or needs. Your duties will include completing frequent and regular review and analysis of case records, evaluating staff performance, as well as participating in planning and providing in-service training activities. The training provided will meet the needs of the workers and disseminate new or updated regulations and policies. Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Two years of professional experience in public or private social work and a bachelor's degree with major course work in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and education which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences.

- Hiring preference for this vacancy may be given to candidates who live within Luzerne County. If no eligible candidates who live within Luzerne County apply for this position, candidates who reside in other counties may be considered.
