Maintain and operate all equipment including flour sifters, flour bins, rollers, and belts to ensure smooth line operation, making necessary adjustments for start-ups, changeovers, and shutdowns while contacting mechanics when issues exceed capability.
Monitor product quality and production standards by communicating with inspectors and mixers, tracking dough weights at specified intervals, maintaining accurate records of downtimes and causes, and immediately reporting any products containing foreign materials to supervisors.
Coordinate communication with all departments and shifts using radio, PA systems, and break relief to relay line status, troubleshoot minor issues independently, and escalate complex problems to appropriate personnel including Sanitation, Maintenance, or Quality Assurance.
Maintain workplace safety and cleanliness by following Good Manufacturing Practices, keeping work areas clean and organized, emptying waste receptacles timely, and ensuring all company assets are properly maintained and accounted for.
Support team operations through training new operators and inspectors, assisting team members when needed, demonstrating flexibility in job assignments, ensuring proper shift transitions, and performing additional duties as assigned to meet production goals.
Qualifications:
- Good communication skills, in English.
- Ability to read and write in English, and use of basic math and time keeping.
- Able to make logical decisions.
- Previous work history in a food manufacturing facility.
