Overview

Under the supervision of the Director of Mobile Operations assumes responsibility for Mobile Packing staff and Mobile Unit Operators (MUO) staff. Monitors the activities to ensure compliance with SOPs. Serves as resource for MUOs for daily packing, set-up and acquisitions of materials for successful operations. Delegates duties to staff. Coordinates with Donor Recruitment as needed. Assists with activities related to hiring, evaluating, termination and improvement processes. Monitors mobile calendar and assists the Field Supervisor with recruitment department in determining adequate equipment/mobile needs. Oversees Donor Services Driving Safety program. Promotes positive image of CBC to Community.



Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

    Manages day-to-day activities of mobile packing and MUO staff.
  • Competently performs all task required of Mobile Unit Operators and assists as needed.
  • Manages and maintains KDS driver safety program.
  • Performs or delegates driver safety assessment of applicable DS staff.
  • Ensures DS is in compliance with current DOT regulations.
  • Evaluates mobile sites and draft se-up plans to ensure mobile efficiency and donor confidentiality.
  • Prepares stocks and organizes supplies for mobile operations.
  • Maintains equipment required for mobiles to include tracking/inventory, packing and unpacking, maintenance e, storage and Quality Control.
  • Ensures mobile equipment is provided to Biomedical department for quarterly PM, as applicable.
  • Ensures all needed supplies are packed and ready for use.
  • Investigates and follows up on customer complaints pertaining to mobile packing or MUO's.
  • Assigns CBC mobile vehicles and maintains records for tracking purposes.
  • Review QC reports.
  • Ensures staff compliance with SOPs.
  • Ensures compliance with CBC safety policies and procedures.
  • Determines job assignments, breaks and meal times for staff as needed.
  • Maintains confidentiality of personal information regarding donors and staff.
  • Handles or seeks help for emergencies that occur.
  • Responds to staffing problems and donor and staff complaints and counsel's donor and staff as needed.
  • Obtains various reports from the computer.
  • Provides written evaluation of staff in regard to performance and compliance with SOPs.
  • Provides documentation when needed regarding staff behavior and /or attendance problems.
  • Promotes customer services with a positive image of CBC to community.
  • Maintains prompt and regular attendance.
  • Responsible for responding to temperature storage alarms as they pertain to mobile packing.
  • Assists the Assistant Director of Donor Services with the yearly budgeting process.


Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have a valid MO CDL class B Driver's License or KS CDL Class B Driver's License and a clean driving record. All tickets, suspension must be reported to supervisor.

Prefer an individual with at least 1-year experience in:

  • Blood collections
  • FHWSA (Federal Highway Safety Administration)
  • Experience in driver training.
  • Supervision
  • CBC, FDA, AABB and OSHA regulations.

  • Knowledge of Missouri and Kansas private carrier rules and regulations.
