Description |
Aurorium is focused on developing specialty chemical solutions that address customer needs and deliver application-relevant performance. The Product Chemist role supports R&D activities within the Enhance segment, contributing to the development and technical support of products used in coatings, electronics, water treatment, and related markets.
This position involves hands-on laboratory work, including chemical synthesis, formulation development, application testing, and performing a variety of chemical analyses. The role contributes to new product development, product improvement activities, and new applications. |
Job Details |
Role Specific Responsibilities:
- Conduct laboratory-scale chemical synthesis of new materials and intermediates as part of product development efforts.
- Develop and adjust formulations to meet defined physical, chemical, or application requirements.
- Carry out application testing using established protocols to assess product suitability for use in relevant systems.
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using standard laboratory techniques (e.g., pH, viscosity, titration, NMR, FTIR, Chromatography).
- Record, analyze, and report experimental data in a clear, structured, and timely manner.
- Participate in discussions on project direction by contributing data and observations from laboratory work.
- Support downstream development activities by providing experimental data and preparing lab-scale material when needed.
- Assist in addressing technical service questions by providing relevant lab input under guidance from more senior team members.

Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in organic chemistry, polymer chemistry, chemical engineering, or a related field.
Experience:
- 1-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience, preferably in an R&D or product development environment.
- Experience with chemical synthesis, formulation, and/or analytical testing of specialty materials.
- Familiarity with application testing procedures is a plus.
- Exposure to structured innovation or development processes (e.g., Stage-Gate) is beneficial.
