Duties and Responsibilities*
- Manage current sales and the development of new sales to achieve the optimum balance of profitability and market share.
- Create a strategic business plan that reflects the customer's business objectives and strategies and align those objectives with ours
- Understand the customer's structure and demonstrate the ability to apply this knowledge in business and sales growth and sales retention for the client.
- Work with internal teams to support customers with new product design and qualification for key accounts.
- Develop sales strategies to target existing and potential accounts.
- Work to revenue targets and KPI's as set by the department/company
- Responsible for overall interaction and account satisfaction with the company.
- Develop strong relationships with the customer at various levels and internal relationships within the company to strengthen the overall relationship.
- Ensure all customer and account-facing services are provided in a consistent and timely fashion.
- Resolve or appropriately escalate customer service issues in conjunction with operations including enlisting the support of Quality, Expert Services, Procurement and Production
- Coordinate with the compliance department on knowing and understanding regulations and the implication to customer impact.
- Prepare and support forecasts, pricing documentation, presentations of customer reports with meaningful analytics, trends and recommendations for program improvement based on findings.
- Lead, direct, and guide the organization toward material qualification targets which assures an expanded sales base and increased customer penetration.
- Provide direction and customer feedback to: R&D for new required products, Technical Service on qualifications and product related technical problems, and Production and Quality Assurance on current material performance.
- Assess and contribute to the following: (1) direction of new product development activities, (2) establishment of market pricing and contract negotiations, and (3) the path of product qualification to key programs.
- Provide a high level of support to our Inside Sales, Quality, and Production teams in obtaining, maintaining, and expanding business.
- Build partnerships with consumers and Toray to resolve service issues within a timely manner.
- Accountable for overall retention of accounts in assigned book of business.
Education, Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is preferred; however Associates or equivalent experience is required.
- More than 3 years of experience in customer service, inside sales or account management.
- Knowledge of composite materials, properties, production, and processes, as well as, applications, part design engineering and material production and fabrication is essential.
- Sensitivity for cost methods and financials is required.
- Strong presentation, time management and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable interfacing and developing professional relationships with internal and external customers.
- Knowledge about ERP systems (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and previous ERP experience preferred.
- Experience with MS Office suite.
- Ability to solve practical problems and resolve customer issues effectively and efficiently.
- Clear understanding of ITAR rules and international shipment processes.
- Attention to detail in composing and proofing materials, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines.
- Knowledge of measurements conversion and weights in metric and standards.
- Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbally) in English.
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple demands.
- This position involves working with technologies and information which are subject to U.S. export control regulations and or international traffic and arms regulations. Under these regulations, Toray CMA must review certain candidate information including US citizenship requirements. This information would be used for export control screening purposes only.

- Position requires the ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at a level necessary to successfully perform assigned responsibilities. Position frequently requires the ability to make quick decisions related to sales and marketing issues. Ability to set priorities. Ability to utilize interpersonal and teamwork skills, perform basic mathematical computations, provide analytical analysis and to understand and apply work specifications in the completion of work tasks. The ability to hear, speak, use hands/fingers and the repetitive motions of hands/wrists are occasional. Ability to occasionally lift 10 pounds. Vision abilities require the adjustment and focus of sight. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- This is a home office-based position, dis-located from the CMA's corporate office. Position requires the ability to occasionally work a non-standard schedule which includes evenings and weekends. Position often requires work in excess of 40 hours in a week. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time.
