Plant Superintendent

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is currently seeking a dynamic superintendent at our soy plant in Dawson, MN! In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the facility by ensuring that our plant employees are using proper operating parameters and techniques in a safe and timely manner. The superintendent will train and manage the plant supervisors and partner with the business to ensure that the plant is meeting production goals.

Responsibilities:

• Help determine the day-to-day priorities with the shift supervisors.

• Investigate, analyze, evaluate, and troubleshoot plant problems.

• Perform plant inspections, equipment trouble shooting, coordinate shutdowns and communicate with pertinent staff.

• Monitor and maintain production and product quality.

• Inspect and ensure efficient equipment operations.

• Train and supervise employees through scheduling work, checking quality of work, conducting performance appraisals, and handling disciplinary matters.

• Develop and manage projects as assigned.

• Attend company and community meetings.

• Enforce company policies and procedures.

Requirements:

• Must possess strong supervisory techniques such as instruction, training and motivation of employees

• Knowledge of applicable OSHA and EPA regulations, preferred

• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

• Strong mechanical aptitude

• Skilled in negotiating and able to work with diverse individuals and groups

• Skilled in using hand and power tools

• Excellent oral and written communication skills

• Organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks

• Ability to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects

• Must be a team player

• Safety conscientious

• Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent processing experience

• Prior supervisor experience or equivalent required
