The Fixed Income Portfolio Manager III is primarily responsible for managing taxable and tax-exempt bond portfolios in a close collaborative effort with the Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Additionally, the position will manage mutual funds, common funds, and individual bond portfolios; develop and manage special projects in the fixed income management program.

• You will manage bond portfolios with discretion, aligning with strategies set by the Senior Fixed Income Portfolio Manager to optimize returns within acceptable risk levels.
• You will analyze securities and portfolios to ensure compliance with investment objectives and internal guidelines.
• You will oversee customer portfolios in accordance with legal and statutory requirements.
• You will mentor junior staff, reviewing their research and recommendations for suitability.
• You will stay current on market developments and use research to make informed investment decisions and execute trades.
• You will adhere to strict compliance standards set by regulatory bodies and internal policies.
• You will contribute to investment strategy, policy updates, and annual credit reviews, including maintaining detailed credit files.

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business and 7-10 years portfolio management experience or 15+ years equivalent experience in financial markets.

• Extensive knowledge of credit analysis and economic analysis
• Extensive knowledge of fixed income securities, trading, delivery, and accounting.
• CFA designation required
• Very strong oral, written and communication skills, including interpersonal skills
• Excellent PC skills including word processing and spreadsheet applications
