Reporting to the Sanitation Manager, the Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for the leadership, development, and continuous improvement of the site's Sanitation, Internal Auditing, Janitorial, Pest Control, and Environmental Monitoring Programs. In addition, this role includes direct leadership responsibility (Normal schedule will be Sunday - Thursday. The employee must be flexible to support a 24/7 operation which includes occasional weekend support, holiday support, and ability to flex to each shift to support business needs as determined with the manager) Also, ensuring alignment with safety, quality, and performance standards.
What You Will Do...
The Supervisor is accountable for all aspects of program and people management, with a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, Engagement, Training, and Performance of both the sanitation team. This role ensures compliance with Campbell's policies and regulatory requirements, while also driving operational excellence and continuous improvement across both functions.
35% - Lead Sanitation Team & Operations Oversight Provide leadership and direction to the sanitation team, ensuring all cleaning and sanitation processes are executed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard of quality. Responsible for team scheduling, coaching, and performance management, including corrective actions as needed. Partner with cross-functional leaders to ensure alignment and effective decision-making, especially during high-pressure situations. 25% - Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) Management Oversee the scheduling and execution of all tasks within the facility's Master Sanitation Schedule. Develop, validate, and maintain SSOPs (Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures) in collaboration with the sanitation team to ensure regulatory and food safety compliance. 15% - Cross-Functional Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Represent the Sanitation team in cross-functional meetings with Production, Quality, and Maintenance. Provide technical input, support plant initiatives, and drive efficiency improvements and enablers related to sanitation. 10% - Environmental Monitoring Program Oversight Manage the facility's environmental monitoring program, ensuring compliance with internal and external standards. Proactively identify trends and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) to reduce risk and maintain a safe environment. 5% - Pre-Operational Inspection Leadership Lead the daily pre-op inspection program, ensuring all equipment and areas are properly cleaned and sanitized before production. Continuously evaluate and suggest improvements to strengthen pre-op performance and compliance. 5% - Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Oversight Manage the facility's Integrated Pest Management program in partnership with the contracted pest control provider. Ensure effective mitigation of pest risks and timely resolution of issues. 5% - Other Duties as Assigned Support additional critical responsibilities and provide triage support as needed to address facility priorities and urgent needs. Including, but not limited to:
- Support Internal Auditing and continuous improvement of Food Safety prerequisite programs
- Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices in the facility and verify that regulatory (FDA, SQF and Kosher) requirements are being met
- Order and maintain inventory of facility operating supplies including sanitation chemicals, safety equipment, PPE, Janitorial supplies and cleaning equipment
- Respond to calls from the production lines to troubleshoot food safety or quality issues
- Participate in and lead, as needed, regulatory and 3rd party compliance audits including SQF, FDA and Ohio Department of Agriculture

What you will bring to the table... (Must Have)
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 + years' experience leading and/or managing people in a manufacturing or sanitation environment.

- Bachelors degree in food science, biology or related field, and prior food industry sanitation experience preferred.
- 2+ years' experience in sanitation or food safety

- COMPUTER SKILLS: Computer proficiency is preferred in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to work effectively, lead by example and coach others within a team-based high performing organization.
Compensation and Benefits: The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between $65,500-$94,200
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
