We are looking for a Senior Advisor Biotechnology to continue development of the biotechnology aspects of our Nuton technology.

This is a great opportunity to expand and develop your career in biotechnology. You will use your expertise to extract and transfer knowledge into the development of our biotechnology, including cultivating and adapting bacteria, the design, control and operation of the bio-reactor equipment at laboratory, pilot and commercial scale to ensure the performance objectives of the processing plant are achieved.

Nuton provides a suite of technologies built on nature-based processes. These bio-heap leaching technologies offer the potential to unlock new sources of the much-needed metal while also producing it in a more sustainable way. To find out more visit our Nuton Website

Reporting to the Biotechnology Principal Advisor and working in a collaborative community of experts in the field of bacteria biotechnology, you will be:

  • Supporting the establishment of the Nuton Biotech laboratory in Salt Lake City.
  • Managing and supporting the maintenance and continuing development of our bacterial cultures in our Biotech laboratory
  • Working with the columns test team and the process engineering team to develop and optimise the Nuton technology and equipment design
  • Managing technical and technology risks
  • Monitoring project and operational phases to ensure the technical design intent is maintained
  • Supporting the delivery the operational readiness scope of Nuton for the specified facility, including the development of the technical manuals and onsite technical training
  • Providing technical support to fabrication, commissioning, start-up and performance guarantee testing
  • Ensuring the handling of Nuton IP information is carried out per the terms of the Nuton Commercial and Technology Agreements

What you'll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have.

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Micro-biology
  • Experience in laboratory and commercial scale technical operations
  • Exposure and understanding of bacteria biotechnology
  • Experience transferring knowledge into design and operational documentation
  • Experience with the ability to critically review project deliverables to ensure a competent process design
  • Proven experience in complex stakeholder engagement
