What to Expect
We are seeking a Regional Service Coordinator to join our team at Tesla. In this role, you will be responsible for managing parts operations across multiple sites, ensuring efficient inventory management and timely delivery of parts to support Tesla's service operations for residential and commercial teams. This is a salaried position that may require occasional late nights and weekends to meet business needs.
What You'll Do
- Inventory Management: Oversee service parts inventory across multiple sites, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and cycle counting, site audits, to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize shortages
- Parts Distribution: Coordinate the distribution of parts to customer homes and other Tesla facilities, optimizing delivery routes and schedules to meet service demands
- Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with Tesla material planning teams and vendors to ensure cost-effectiveness and reliability of parts supply through accurate min/max controls
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline parts operations processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs, implementing best practices and standard operating procedures as needed
- Performance Tracking: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to parts operations, such as fill rates, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery, implementing strategies to optimize performance and achieve targets
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams, including service, logistics, procurement, and finance, to ensure alignment of parts operations with overall business objectives and service delivery goals
- Regional service case management: Review regional service casework and coordinate with local warehouse staff to ensure material needs from cases are being met
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or related field or equivalent experience (preferred but not required)
- Proven experience in parts operations, inventory management, or supply chain management, preferably in the automotive or manufacturing industry
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and vendors
- Demonstrated leadership abilities, with experience in leading and developing teams to achieve goals and drive results
- Knowledge of inventory management systems, WMS software, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Flexibility to work occasional late nights and weekends to meet business needs
