We are looking for aTurnaround Project Controls Managerwithin our Project Resource and Outage Support (PROS) team inGonzales, LA.Other locations could be Allentown, PA (global HQ), Pasadena, TX, Long Beach, CA, or residence based (remote). Our dedicated PROS team assists with capital projects, planning for turnarounds (TAR), and completing turnarounds.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead project controls team which consists of the cost control team & track and requisition team.

  • Direct creation and implementation of cost strategy within the TAR environment.

  • Supervise TAR worklists to ensure scope is handled per enterprise design.

  • Maintain cost control interfaces between procurement and TAR planning/execution teams.

  • Ensure accurate completion of TAR accruals, capitalizations, and write-offs each month.

  • Use cost control tools to quantify and explain cost overruns.

  • Support Event Managers with cost breakdown structure and event cost analysis.

  • Focus on expedited TAR closeout processes for final cost confirmation and release of liens.

  • Build and apply a cost repository for future project development and estimating.

  • Maintain digital tools to drive cost efficiency and predictability.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Experience with operating facilities, turnarounds, and/or maintenance environments; Track experience a plus

  • 10+ years in project controls, finance, accounting, or turnaround management

  • Solid understanding of common financial and accounting principles and models, with a strong focus on SAP reporting and data management

  • Strong communication, organizational, and planning skills

  • Self-motivated and willingness to learn and improve

  • High ethical standards

  • Works harmoniously with all team members and accepts direction and feedback constructively

Education and Licensing Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering, finance, business, or related experience

  • Proficient in the use of computers including Microsoft products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook), and business software (SAP)

  • PMP certificate a plus

Work Hours & Benefits:

  • Typical work week is 40 hours. Longer hours and some weekends are required during project or outage execution.

  • Travel is required (25%) in U.S. and Canada, primarily California, U.S. Gulf Coast, Edmonton, Ontario, and U.S. Northeast.

  • The work environment will vary from an office setting to an onsite operating facility since reporting team members are often field based.

The expected pay range for this job varies based on location. In California, the expected pay range is $141,600 - $190,600 plus bonus. Outside of California, the expected pay range is $119,230 - $198,870 plus bonus. These are the ranges we reasonably expect to pay for this position as individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
