Job Summary The Classification & Compensation Analyst will provide professional-level experience in support of overall compensation programs for the District and its colleges. Work is focused on classification and compensation research, data and market analysis, job studies, special projects, and project management to support the District's compensation programs for staff and faculty positions. Essential Functions 30% Participates and supports scheduled and unscheduled compensation projects, assuming responsibility for assigned project tasks, which may include:
30% Oversees and ensures employee personnel files are maintained on a daily, weekly, quarterly, and annual basis:
10% Conducts a variety of research and analysis in support of district-wide compensation projects:
10% Evaluates reorganizations with a small number of incumbents (i.e., less than 5):
10% Reviews, evaluates, and approves position management requests in enterprise HRIS systems ensuring accuracy and agreement with business practices and procedures:
10% Partners with apprenticeship programs on apprentice pay:
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution and two (2) years of work experience which involves the administration, analyses, and/or support of classification or compensation projects, programs, and/or initiatives. OR An equivalent combination of the education and/or experience as described above sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above, unless otherwise subject to any other requirements set forth in law or regulation, may be considered. Special Working Conditions The job classification will primarily be sedentary, but will require a fair amount of cognitive effort to conduct analysis, review, and evaluate classification and compensation matters. The position will be required to exert force to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects to various locations both within and outside of District Offices.
