Salary Range: $63,000 - $70,000

Position Summary
Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Strategic Communications, the Associate Director of Communications develops and implements strategic communications and marketing for the Tyler School of Art and Architecture with a primary focus on Tyler's website and digital marketing for various audiences. The Associate Director will work as part of the communications team to develop, execute and measure strategies, tactics and campaigns that enhance visibility, build enrollment, and strengthen reputation nationally and internationally. The role also collaborates with various departments and personnel across the school, including Admissions, Development, Advising, IT, Department Heads, Program Heads and Faculty.
Required Education and Experience
* Bachelor's Degree and at least four (4) years of directly related strategic communications experience.
* An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
* Master's degree
* Knowledge of the visual arts, the built environment and research in a higher education context.
Required Skills and Abilities
* Strong web and print design experience, including UX/UI.
* Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
* Experience in content management systems (CMS), Drupal preferred.
* Customer service orientation.
* Strong interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills, and ability to work and collaborate with varied constituencies.
* Problem-solving skills.
* Self-motivated and able to work independently.
* Demonstrated organizational skills, along with the ability to be detail-oriented; able to multitask efficiently.
* Strong understanding of digital marketing principles, including SEO, social media strategies, and content distribution.
* Experience with digital and email marketing, social media metrics, Google analytics, and website architecture.
Essential Functions of the Position
* Oversee and manage Tyler School of Art and Architecture website, ensuring content is up-to-date, user-friendly, and aligned with web accessibility standards and branding guidelines.
* Develop efficient and effective workflows for content creation, review, and approval processes.
* Collaborate with the Admissions team to develop and implement digital campaigns, web content, and social media strategies that drive enrollment.
* Translate analytics insights into actionable recommendations to design and optimize enrollment and admissions campaigns.
* Regularly track key performance metrics to assess campaign effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
* Grow analytical insights, research, and tools to influence strategic marketing and communication decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, developing and leading Google Analytics knowledge for the team to make strategic web and content decisions.
* Oversee design and production of print materials.
This position is assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
