As Senior Associate for Internal Communications supporting our Franchise and Innovation Team (providing communications for global R&D, global Franchises, and Digital Health teams), you will be primarily responsible for developing, planning, and driving internal communication initiatives to boost employee engagement. This role will be based inFort Worth, TX,and will create content for various platforms, support crisis communications, and help execute strategies for organizational changes while maintaining ethical standards. Specifics include:

  • Supports team to help increase awareness and understanding of business priorities, initiatives and new products among Alcon associates for Global Vision Care and Surgical Franchise businesses as well as Research & Development (R&D) and Global Digital teams.

  • Drafts internal messages and creates content for key initiatives that impact these global businesses and teams.

  • Develops key messages and supports change communications that are critical to future growth and transformation of the businesses and teams.

  • Helps to drive awareness among associates of key corporate strategies leveraging existing and future internal channels.

  • Supports the execution of internal initiatives including Global Webcasts, Alcon Leadership Meetings, internal campaigns about key product launches, Business Development & Licensing (BD&L) communications initiatives, integrations and more.

  • Supports regions to ensure delivery of relevant global messaging through the continual refinement of communication programs, channels and measurement to ensure effectiveness.

  • Works closely with Senior Director of Franchise Communications on editorial calendars and content alignment, producing story and narrative conception supporting Global Franchise, R&D and Digital Health.

  • Demonstrates core writing capabilities through basic competency, quality of work, and adaptability of writing style.

  • Generates, develops and maintains a relevant and accurate corporate asset collateral portfolio including press releases, fact sheets, corporate overview decks and videos. Gathers content that is accurate and aligned with business strategy.

  • Works with Director, Global Internal Comms to ensure corporate message and brand consistency across GB&I communications, as appropriate.

  • Participates, as a member of the Global Internal Comms team, in strategy and tactical planning efforts.

  • Participates, as a core member of the Global Franchise comms team, with external communications efforts, which includes the following:

  • Supports team in creating and distributing communications (e.g., media releases, panels, etc.).

  • Coordinates and administers approval of communications materials in line with the Communications approval process.

  • Helps craft news stories and original content that highlights key differentiators from the competition, new data, training/education and customer advocacy efforts from the Franchises.

  • Helps drive share of voice and drive positive sentiment around Franchise, R&D narratives via executing external thought leadership opportunities.

  • Supports the development and execution of Alcon's digital health PR plans.

  • Coordinates results monitoring and measurement activities, including the global Franchise and Innovation Team dashboard; helps generate insights for stakeholders and the Communications team.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in internal communications, preferably in healthcare, eye care, or life sciences.

  • Proven ability to read and understand technical and clinical data.

  • Experience with event planning, social media, digital health, and AI tools.

  • Proficiency in digital communication platforms and content management systems.

  • Flexible, proactive, and able to manage shifting priorities effectively.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs; Assoc.+6 yrs; M.S.+0 yrs)

  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English

  • 2+ Years of Relevant Experience
