From your PASSION to ours Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Packager based in Belmont, Wisconsin. Packaging team members are responsible for the efficient packing of cheese following all safety and Good Manufacturing Practice policy. Candidates must be available to work over 40 hours per week (weekends are required). From your EXPERTISE to ours Key responsibilities for this position include: - Perform checks, sampling, meter reads, and testing for daily process controls - Data entry of control testing and meter reading information - Keeps accurate logs and records daily activities - Adjusts operation of system based on results of the control tests and experience - Communicates any problems or changes in operation to supervisor or plant personnel - Troubleshoot SCADA system trending, waste water operations an equipment - Report problems and/or concerns to manager - Perform other work duties as assigned From your STORY to ours Qualified applicants will contribute the following: Education: * Trade School level of Wastewater, Electrical or Mechanical training is preferred Experience: * Previous employment in a food industry setting is preferred * Stable and dependable work history is required Specialized Knowledge: * Basic mathematical skills are required (must be able to calculate averages) * Chemistry, biology and water is desired. Agri-food industry technology and processes, sound maintenance practice, health and safety is preferred. Skills/Abilities: The ideal candidate must have the following attributes/skills; strong attention to detail and accuracy, personal qualities of tact and dependability, possess good manual dexterity, vision abilities (close, distance color and ability to focus), able to push/pull/lift and carry, able to lift up to 75 pounds occasionally and 100 pounds with assistance, and movements (e.g. twisting, gripping, lifting, bending, reaching) and must be able to work over 40 hours per week (some weekends are required). Must be able to obtain forklift certification, to work in confined spaces and climb/work from ladders as needed. Possess values of ambition and engagement, with simplicity. Sign On Bonus & Pay We are offering a $2,000* Hiring Bonus to new hires for hourly positions. *Bonus amount is a gross amount. $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 90 days of active employment; an additional $1,000 will be paid out in the paycheck following 180 days of active employment. Temporary, part-time and certain rehired employees are not eligible. *Attendance and performance rules apply. Pay: $27.00/hr, dependent upon skills and experience can start out more per hour.
