Job Title: Lab Technician

Duration: 12+ Months (Possibility of Extension & Conversion depending on Performance)

Location: Muscatine, IA

Pay Range: $19 - $22/Hr

Job Summary:

This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic 24/7 laboratory environment, where you will perform routine analytical testing that is crucial for process and quality control.

You will be responsible for preparing and analyzing samples using various analytical equipment, ensuring compliance with ISO standards, and maintaining safety practices.

Your contributions will directly impact the quality of our products and services, making this role both challenging and rewarding.

Responsibilities: -

Prepare and analyze samples using analytical equipment such as pH meters, density meters, and viscometers.

- Operate laboratory information systems to manage data effectively.

- Maintain accurate records of all testing procedures and results.

- Ensure compliance with ISO standards and hazardous waste regulations.

- Perform daily instrument calibrations to ensure accuracy and reliability.

- Troubleshoot instrument issues as they arise to minimize downtime.

- Adhere to safety practices within the laboratory environment.

- Collaborate with team members to support overall laboratory operations.

Skills:

- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in performing tests and recording results.

- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve instrument-related issues effectively.

- Knowledge of hazardous waste regulations and safety protocols.

- Flexibility to work various shifts, including overtime as needed.

Qualifications:

- 4-6 years of experience in a laboratory setting, preferably in chemical analyses.

- Basic knowledge of HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) and GC (Gas Chromatography) operations is preferred.
