Temporary Warehouse & Material Handler

Your Opportunity: Taylor Corporation is looking for a Temporary Material Handler at our Waynesboro Facility.

Your Responsibilities:

• Use forklifts and other equipment to unload and move shipments

• Open and organize incoming shipments so they can be checked for accuracy

• Put items away in the correct locations using material handling equipment (MHE)

• Pick and pull orders correctly using printed or digital order forms

• Move products around the warehouse safely with forklifts or similar equipment

• Keep the work area clean by sweeping, mopping, and taking out the trash

• Follow all safety rules while using equipment and doing your job

Your Shift: First Shift, Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:00pm

You Must Have:

• Able to safely use a forklift and enter information into a computer system

• Can follow written and verbal instructions

• Works well alone and with a team

• Open to doing different types of tasks each day

• Comfortable using a computer for basic tasks

• Can do simple math, including adding, subtracting, and working with fractions and decimals

• Willing to do the same task many times if needed

• Follows safety rules at all times

• Has experience working in a warehouse or receiving area

Requirements Within This Position:

• Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information and ideas so others will understand
• Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
• Constantly operates machinery and handles products including print materials
• Frequently required to move inside the facility
• Regularly move up to 25+ pounds (lift, push, pull and/or carry)

We Would Also Prefer:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
