Performance Contracting, Inc. seeks a Design Engineer at its facility located at 150 Hopping Brook Road, Holliston, MA 01746.



JOB DESCRIPTION:



Attend kick off meeting with design and/or operations staff at beginning of project to ensure level of development, scope, project details, and contract requirements are understood before modeling begins. Create 3D models utilizing Revit. Actively participate in BIM coordination and design meetings. Develop and model scopes as requested, including, but not limited to, interior and exterior walls, including framing; ceiling and soffit framing; acoustical ceilings; specialty panels; raised access floor; clean room walls; clean room ceilings; Unistrut; no fly zones; and other specialty scopes to required level of development using Revit, and other Revit add-on programs. Coordinate with point cloud files. Ensure models produced are spatially coordinated. Escalate any issues to the BIM Coordinator and Design and Operations Team. Elevate model and document inconsistencies to the attention of the BIM Coordinator and Design and Operations Team to determine what action is to be taken. Ensure all elements of the model are fully coordinated within PCI's scope. Perform BIM compliance checks of deliverables. Perform QC model against project documents for discrepancies. Utilize Navisworks Manage to run clash detection and identify potential issues. Use Navisworks to resolve PCI clashes. Attend staff training to enhance staff members' knowledge and expertise of the standardized software used. Create and maintain project-specific content to ensure they are consistently aligned with instructions, guidelines, in-house standards, and the project's BIM standards. Actively engage with Design and Operations Team to implement best BIM/VDC practices. Coordinate with BIM/VDC service providers and clients. Provide and design support tasks including but not limited to: processing install drawings, incorporating comments, producing details, and layout files. Clean, prepare, and organize CAD/Navisworks files for field use. Perform special projects as assigned. Hybrid telecommuting permitted, 4 days per week in office.



REQUIREMENTS:



This position requires a bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, plus 1 year of experience as a Project Engineer or related occupation in the construction industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Interpreting specifications and drawings for construction projects; (2) Managing customers on the BIM modeling while working with other trades to provide a coordinated model environment; (3) Designing with CSI Divisions 5-13 (walls, ceilings, doors, etc.) products used on a given project to ensure modeling matches as-built material conditions; (4) Producing layout and buildable shop drawings for the field construction teams to effectively provide a quality project; and (5) Utilizing 3D model software including Navisworks, Revit, or AutoCAD to build model environments and provide clash detection coordination with all trades.



RATE OF PAY: $80,642-$125,772 per year
