Overview
Trustmark Investment Management operates as a fiduciary in the management and advising on client assets and accounts, inclusive of asset allocation, security selection, trading implementation, and other activities as required of a regulated National Bank. The purpose of this position is to manage investment portfolios and advise clients in investment and related matters, which may be personal or institutional in nature, while acting in a fiduciary capacity at all times. **This position may be filled as a Level I, II, or III based on additional responsibilities and qualifications required.**
Responsibilities
Additional responsibilities for Level III:
- Manage and/or mentor Securities Analysts to support investment activities
- Manage and/or mentor Portfolio Manager I or II level positions
- Make presentations on behalf Trustmark to professional groups, industry associations, or other venues.
- Lead the development of new investment management tools and solutions
- Coordinate with other units of Trustmark on delivering investment services to common clients
- Perform additional duties as needed or assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Business Administration
- Knowledge of securities market/products behavior
- Knowledge of economics and finance
- Understanding of portfolio theory and its application
- Knowledge of analytical methods and valuation techniques
- Knowledge of fiduciary, prudent, and trust standards of care
- Analytical and computer skills
- Good communication skills - both written and verbal
- Asset allocation theory and practice
- Organization skills to manage large volume of data
- Familiarity with investment research and trading platforms preferred. (Bloomberg, Factset, fi360, Advent, Moxy, or comparable platforms.)
- One of the following preferred:
- MBA
- CFA or CMT candidate
- Professional training
Additional qualifications required for Level II:
- At least 3 years of experience as a securities analyst, portfolio manager, or similar industry related experience
- Advanced knowledge of securities market/products behavior
- Advanced knowledge of economics and finance
- Advanced Understanding of portfolio theory and its application
- Advanced knowledge of analytical methods and valuation techniques
- Solid understanding of fiduciary, prudent, and trust standards of care
- Extensive Analytical and computer skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Advanced knowledge and application of Asset Allocation methods and analysis
Additional qualifications required for Level III:
- CFA or CMT Charterholder, or a minimum of 7 years of experience as a securities analyst, portfolio manager, or similar industry-related experience
- Extensive knowledge of securities market/products behavior
- Extensive knowledge of economics and finance
- Extensive Understanding of portfolio theory and its application
- Extensive knowledge of analytical methods and valuation techniques
- Travel - Must be willing and able to travel frequently and as needed for meetings or presentations across the region.
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time of computer use
- Travel required, including overnight stays.
