Position Description:

The Department of Marketing within the Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa invites applications for one or more non-tenure Instructional Track Faculty Position(s) in Marketing at the levels of Assistant Professor of Instruction or Practice, Associate Professor of Instruction or Practice, or Full Professor of Instruction or Practice. One position will begin in January 2026, and the other will begin in August 2026. Rank will be based on experience and record of achievement. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications. Position(s) are 100% time (teaching 8 classes/year) and include a 1-7 year contract, determined by rank and experience, with benefits. For more information about the Instructional Faculty policy, refer to the Policy Manual 10.9.3.

Education Requirement:


  • MBA or bachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.


Required Qualifications:




  • Evidence of successful teaching experience at the undergraduate or graduate level in any area of marketing.





  • Strong background in marketing with 2-10 years of industry experience.





Desirable Qualifications:

We particularly seek candidates who are prepared to teach:







  • MBA-level: business integration and marketing management









  • Undergraduate-level: digital marketing, product and pricing, retailing, merchandise management, international marketing, marketing research, and marketing capstone
