Under general supervision, maintains responsibility for the financial operations of the Development Department including charitable contribution management (online giving, direct mail, EFT etc.), financial reporting, analysis and reconciliation, and management of all donor databases, assists with event planning and execution and managers special funds or projects.

Education

Bachelor's Degree

Experience

5 years' experience with financial recording and reporting of donor charitable gifts, preferably in a development office or nonprofit business setting. Knowledge of financial and fundraising software, including Raiser's Edge 7 or NXT, or other online giving software, Onbase, PaperSave, Microsoft Office.

Accounting background helpful.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Charitable Gift Management; prepare daily financial deposits and daily financial batch and required reports. Manage online donation processes, procedures and functionality. Generate and distribute customized financial queries, and analytical reports; mailing lists, donor recognition lists, and other data extractions as requested. Manage electronic gift documentation. Establish effective donor tax receipt acknowledgement system to properly expedite weekly donor gift receipts and tribute acknowledge letters. Conduct weekly audits of data entry to ensure accuracy
  • Manage and maintain on-line donation transactions. This includes daily downloads of financial contributions and donor information. Manage the integration of all data into Raiser's Edge and Luminate, troubleshoot and resolve all technical issues
  • Manage and maintain fundraising events on-line donation transactions using GiveSmart, or other online giving platform. Successfully complete manual or electronic download of financial contributions and donor information into Raisers Edge. Troubleshoot and resolve any donation issues
  • Work closely with the Finance Departments at Gilchrist and GBMC to produce weekly direct debits and credit card transaction reports for the Health System. Provide reports and documentation for financial reconciliation and accuracy between Raiser's Edge and the general accounting ledger. Produce monthly financial reconciliation report for Gilchrist and GBMC Finance Departments
  • Complete weekly charitable gift processing and document indexing ensuring accuracy in constituent and charitable gift entries. Ensure the security and integrity of all data and constituent records in Raiser's Edge database. Audit charitable gift processing and indexing to ensure that all campaigns, funds, and appeals are linked correctly and reconcile with Finance Department.
  • Provide financial operational support for Gilchrist fundraising events and activities. Oversight of paver recognition by working directly with donors and paver vendor. Point of contact to all public inquiries regarding charitable financial documentation, email opt out, remove from mailing list and other consumer issues. Works with Quality Team to remove anyone who has filed a written complaint from donor database
  • Support preparation for annual audit.
  • Assists with the planning of special events and programs and assists with printed donor correspondence and fliers. Assists with invitations, mailings, and acknowledgements to all applicable constituencies.
  • Design, generate and distribute customized financial queries, and analytical reports; mailing lists, recognition lists, and other data extractions as requested
  • Develop and maintain gift entry and database protocols and procedures. Validate database and gift integrity, to ensure proper coding accuracy and data integrity of information stored in the Raiser's Edge database.
  • Ensure confidentiality of constituent information. Ensure the security and integrity of data and constituent records in Raiser's Edge and Luminate databases. Research and develop best practices for data integrity practices and pro-actively communicate to staff opportunities to enhance their use of database
  • Responsible for staff's database education for new users as well as ongoing training for existing users. Keep staff updated in best practice for the database. Collaborates with Marketing Department to create new online contribution forms and event landing pages.
  • If supporting Hospice of Washington County, manages the Franklin Hospice and Hospice of Washington County My Wish Program/Benevolence Program for patient needs. Stays current on trends on trends in the development field that can affect the Philanthropy Department.

Pay Range

$60,150.49 - $102,255.84

Final salary offer will be based on the candidate's qualifications, education, experience and alignment with our organizational needs.
