Position Summary: Responsible for performing machine troubleshooting and maintenance work for the repair of capital equipment. Perform maintenance work for processes, facilities and equipment. Diagnose equipment issues and make necessary repairs. Able to follow written or oral work instructions and procedures for performing preventative maintenance and other related maintenance tasks.

Equipment and Process Maintenance and Repair



  • Effectively diagnose and resolve equipment and process problems as they arise. Follow up on progress making sure to communicate to management and internal staff with desired results.
  • Must be able to be sensitive to "what can go wrong". Develop sufficient appreciation for how processes and equipment work to be able to determine the nature of a problem and what to do about it.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness for all assigned tasks, being mindful of safety and quality.
  • Participate in the moving and installation of equipment and related services (plumbing, electrical, etc.) to ensure that they happen on-schedule and satisfy internal customer requirements.
  • Execute all assignments related to processes and equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor.



Facility Maintenance and Repair



  • Maintain HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems including facility structures in an efficient, safe and timely manner.
  • Develop innovative approaches to and alternate solutions for solving facility-related problems and use time effectively and efficiently.
  • Execute other assignments related to the facility as assigned by the Plant Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of property inside and outside the facility. including organization of all maintenance supplies.
  • Disassemble facility equipment to examine parts for defects. Replace defective parts with new parts, make repairs to those parts or fabricate part's from various stock.

  • Follow standard operating procedures and work instructions while using intuition and experience to solve problems related to maintenance and repair.
  • Take initiative to accomplish day-to-day tasks with energy and focus, regularly meeting or exceeding agreed upon improvement goals.

  • Display excellent communication skills within your department and all effected departments, report to your management team and operators. Keep team members informed of the progress and any changes or updates throughout a project.
  • Respond to management direction and take responsibility for own actions.
  • Is available and willing to work overtime as required to respond to process and equipment issues that affect safety or operations.
  • Adapt a strategy to changing conditions; able to deal with frequent changes, delays or unexpected events.
  • Open to learning new skills and technology. Work closely with colleagues and internal customers to satisfy known and unknown needs that they may have.


Qualifications

Qualifications:



  • At least 2-3 years of prior experience in the maintenance field.


Physical Requirements:



  • Ability to stand, walk, and move across the production floor for the full shift
  • Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Manual dexterity and ability to work in hot, humid, or chemical-exposed environments (with appropriate PPE)
  • Operate Tow motor
