Job Description Lead a team of engineers working on complex data services, including but not limited to data processing (from queues, files, emails), data science (anomaly detection, data classification, data explanation, etc.). Design and develop applications as per Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) best practices. Build out services in support of strategic BCST objectives in development languages that meet the functional requirements (requires learning new languages and gaining exposure to the latest libraries). Understand business requirements and translate them into functional components to be developed by subordinates. Ensure alignment to group and wider organizational strategy through designs of the functional components. Utilize software design principles and develop best practices. #LI-DNI Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week, $179,982 per year. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 6 years of progressive post-baccalaureate related work experience. Alternatively, the employer will accept a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field and 4 years of related work experience. Must have 4 years of experience in: * Python; and, * Java. Must have 2 years of experience in each of the following: * Rust; * Elastic (ELK) Stack; * Amazon Services (s3/ec2); * React; * Elixir; and, * C#. Must have 1 year of experience in machine learning and natural language processing. Domestic travel required up to 10%; International travel required up to 10%. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable. The base salary for this job is $179,982 per year. This salary does not include other elements of total compensation, including a discretionary bonus and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company-matching contributions; health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance; and paid time-off plan.
