The Role
The Business Intelligence Analyst plays a key role within the Portfolio and Practice Operations team, delivering trusted, actionable insights through high-impact dashboarding and performance reporting. This individual is responsible for transforming curated datasets into intuitive Power BI dashboards that support executive visibility, operational cadence, and strategic decision-making. The role is critical to enabling transparency across backlog health, release readiness, and adoption analytics-especially within tooling reviews and service delivery evaluations.
Major Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain user-friendly Power BI dashboards that visualize delivery, sales, and platform performance.
- Work with curated data models and semantic layers across CRM, PSA, service, and financial systems.
- Translate complex backlog and operational metrics into concise visuals for business and executive audiences.
- Analyze delivery readiness indicators including SLA adherence, resolution times, and incident trends.
- Support adoption reporting for internal tools, platform enhancements, and new service offerings.
- Produce weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting packages tailored for senior leadership.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define, refine, and standardize key performance metrics.
- Surface trends and anomalies through exploratory analysis and dashboard insights.
- Automate refresh processes and enable self-service access for recurring report consumers.
- Enforce data quality standards and flag inconsistencies through proactive validation practices.
- Fulfill ad hoc reporting and visualization requests in support of operational priorities.
- Collaborate with IT and data teams to improve the reporting infrastructure and tooling stack.
Technology/Area of Specialization:
- Deep expertise with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query, and workspace management.
- Familiarity with Tableau, Looker, or other BI tools a plus-but Power BI is primary.
- Ability to work with curated datasets and published data models from source systems.
- Working knowledge of SQL for basic data validation or custom extracts.
- Understanding of operational KPIs such as SLA, utilization, velocity, and customer health.
- Experience with recurring revenue or managed services metrics (ARR, retention, margin, etc.).
Basic Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong visual storytelling capabilities and attention to dashboard usability.
- Clear communication of complex metrics to non-technical audiences.
- Analytical mindset to derive insights from trendlines, benchmarks, and variance analysis.
- Ability to prioritize reporting tasks and manage competing deadlines.
- Self-directed with a bias for automation and continuous improvement.
- Team-oriented and comfortable working in cross-functional settings.
- Consistent track record of high-quality deliverables with minimal oversight.
Required Skills:
- 3-5 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, or reporting roles.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proficiency in Power BI, including dashboard interactivity, custom visuals, and performance tuning.
- Strong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, and data validation.
- Basic SQL proficiency for querying and troubleshooting data issues.
- Experience working in a technology services or managed services organization.
- Familiarity with service delivery KPIs, backlog management, and GTM reporting.

Physical Requirements:
Primarily sedentary office work with extensive computer use for data analysis and reporting. Minimal travel (<5%) may be required for team meetings or training sessions. Standard office hours with some flexibility required during critical reporting periods.
