Ingersoll Rand's Compression Systems & Services (CSS) division leads North America in air and gas compression-delivering advanced compressors, intelligent systems, and full-spectrum service. From engineering to field support, we drive uptime, efficiency, and innovation at every step.

Are you ready to lead the future of compressed air solutions? We're seeking a dynamic Product Manager to own the vision, strategy, and innovation roadmap for our Small Rotary Compressor portfolio (?50hp). In this highly visible role, you'll report directly to the Small Rotary & Recip Portfolio Leader within our Product Management & Marketing team. You'll be at the helm of product lifecycle management and new product introductions for our flagship brands-Gardner Denver, Champion, and DV Systems-driving innovation in a segment that is vital to our business and to our customers. This is more than just a product management role. It's a chance to shape the next generation of oil-lubricated rotary screw compressors, influence long-term strategy, and make a lasting impact on a high-growth, high-visibility product category. Responsibilities:


  • Own and manage strategy, roadmaps, business cases, and value proposition for all Gardner Denver, Champion, and DV Systems small rotary products for the North America Compression Systems & Services business.

  • Analyze market trends, technology trends, competitive products developments, and other potential impact to rotary screw products and services.


  • Create and defend business cases to justify revenue and incremental margin from new product developments or inline product revisions.


  • Conduct voice of customer activities to identify business, customer, and user needs based on customer account reviews, stakeholder interviews, and distributor surveys. Represent the needs of end customers in all business activities.


  • Drive customer satisfaction through continuous improvements to operational excellence, including product quality and on time shipment



  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to execute on product development, integration, and commercialization plans to deliver on business case.

  • Lead lifecycle management of existing compressor platforms to support whole goods and aftermarket sales.


  • Prepare sales forecasts for use in planning manufacturing operations, phase-in and phase-out and controlling inventories.


  • Create and maintain training programs, sales aides, and product literature for customers and distribution partners.



  • Some travel may be required



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree (Technical, Scientific or Engineering) with related experience required. MBA desired.


  • 7+ years of work experience required. Experience within commercial or light industrial B2B markets desired.

  • 2+ years of demonstrated experience working with distributors and customers, and working with phase gate product execution

  • Excellent Presentation and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong Business Acumen - understanding of finance and business case development


  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects while delivering on established timelines

  • Ability to be persuasive in the absence of organizational authority
