Responsibilities
History Teacher - Full Time Copper Hills Youth Center, located in West Jordan, UT is a private residential treatment center for adolescents 12-17 years of age. We counsel, teach and mentor children placed in our care and give each child a chance to make successful changes. At Copper Hills Youth Center, we treat boys and girls who have emotional, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Our accredited private school allows students to continue their education while receiving treatment. Be part of an innovative teaching team that values teacher collaboration and collegiality. Our school promotes hands on student learning, cooperative learning and project-based learning. You would teach American History, World History and Government on a rotating basis. Teachers are encouraged not to take work home with them to maintain a healthy work/personal life balance. Our teachers teach 5 classes per day, 50 minutes each. Our school is open 12 months per year.
