Are you a hands-on problem solver who thrives at the intersection of engineering disciplines? We're looking for a Systems Engineer to lead the integration, validation, and optimization of sophisticated, multi-disciplinary inspection systems used in cutting-edge industries around the globe.

Job Requirements, but not limited to:
  • Lead System Integration: Be responsible for the calibration, diagnostics, and final testing of complex optical tools, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate Across Disciplines: Partner with Mechanical, Optics, Software, and Systems teams to solve manufacturing challenges and drive innovation.
  • Build Scalable Processes: Develop and detail best practices for assembly and design for manufacturability (DfM).
  • Mentor & Guide: Train technicians and lead structured problem-solving efforts with clear, actionable plans.
  • Drive Data-Driven Decisions: Use MES data and statistical process control (SPC) to refine processes and improve specifications.
  • Investigate & Resolve: Conduct failure analysis, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to ensure system readiness.
  • Lead Agile Teams: Guide small, multi-functional teams to resolve production issues and improve system performance.
  • Apply Technical Expertise: Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models, and make basic updates as needed.
  • Engage Globally: Travel up to 25% to support supplier and customer engagements worldwide.
Qualifications, but not limited to:
  • Experience with high-complexity, low-volume capital equipment-especially in optical alignment and metrology.
  • Proficiency in Linux-based systems and scripting for data automation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across global, interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $105,300.00 - $179,000.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
