Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives on solving sophisticated challenges and bringing high-tech products to life? We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to play a key role in the integration and production of sub-micron positioning stages-critical components in the world's most advanced inspection systems. This is your chance to work at the groundbreaking of manufacturing, where precision meets performance, and every detail matters.

Travel up to 50% to support supplier and customer interactions worldwide. When you are traveling, you will be gone for up to 2 weeks at a time.

Job Requirements:
  • Precision Integration: Assemble and integrate ultra-precise motion stages into inspection platforms, solving system-level and manufacturing challenges.
  • Collaborative Innovation: Work side-by-side with Controls, Firmware, and Software teams to enhance manufacturability and system performance.
  • Process Leadership: Develop and detail standard methodologies (DfM, POAs), and train technicians in sophisticated assembly and troubleshooting.
  • Efficiency Optimization: Estimate production costs, define time standards, and configure BOMs for new and existing products.
  • Data-Driven Improvements: Use MES and SPC tools to analyze manufacturing data and drive continuous process and design improvements.
  • Team Leadership: Lead small, agile teams to solve multi-disciplinary manufacturing challenges.
  • Technical Expertise: Interpret engineering drawings and CAD models, with the ability to make basic updates.
Qualifications:
  • A B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience, with a strong background in Mechatronics.
  • Expertise in motion control, servo systems, or vibration analysis.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing processes including machining, sheet metal, and castings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across global, interdisciplinary teams.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $105,300.00 - $179,000.00 Annually Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
