The Early Logistics Product Material Handling Engineer Manager will be responsible for the development of initial cost estimates based on available project information, average rack costs, estimated density, and fleet size. This position requires interfacing with part release engineers, stamping engineering and manufacturing engineering staff frequently to represent the MLM organization's interests. The selected candidate will identify primary causal factors or opportunities to reduce rack fleet investment cost, increase container density, reduce plant manpower, logistics and in-system damage. The candidate will initiate studies as well as participate in Make / Buy, What If, and CCD studies. Density studies will be completed in NX CAD software to support business cases summarizing impacts to MLM for various alternatives. The Manager will act as the primary point of contact for a vehicle program to meet deadlines and report on program specific KPIs and KAIs. Working with the Rack Design and Build group, they will direct the development of Standard Design Criteria documentation on a commodity basis and maintain Stellantis MLM Standards. The candidate will also have responsibility to lead a small team of Early Logistics Product Material Handling Engineering Specialists. Basic Qualifications:
