We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Director of Contract Manufacturing to join our global Technology and Manufacturing team. In this leadership role, you will spearhead initiatives aimed at enhancing operational performance, fortifying supply chain resilience, and driving sustainable value across our international manufacturing network. This remote position offers flexibility and can be based in either North America or the EMEA region, depending on the candidate's location and preference. While this is a remote role, strong preference will be given to candidates located near one of our major operational hubs. Responsibilities will include:



  • Identify and develop Contract and Toll Manufacturing partnerships to achieve cost savings, secure supply chains, and optimize production capacity
  • Collaborate closely with SBU Presidents, Product Managers, and Business Unit leadership to align manufacturing strategies with commercial goals
  • Analyze internal manufacturing capabilities to identify opportunities for external production and asset utilization improvements
  • Establish a decision-making matrix to evaluate and prioritize internal versus external manufacturing solutions.
  • Design and implement a strategic Annual Operating Plan (AOP) for Contract & Toll Manufacturing initiatives.
  • Partner with Procurement to develop world-class framework agreements supporting flexible and secure manufacturing partnerships
  • Manage a comprehensive project portfolio, ensuring the optimal use of internal resources and timely integration of external manufacturing opportunities
  • Embed rigorous safety and compliance standards into all Contract and Toll Manufacturing processes and partnerships


  • Bachelor's degree in business, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related discipline; an advanced degree (MS or PhD) is preferred
  • Deep understanding of chemical manufacturing processes, combined with more than 10 years' experience in operations leadership, product management, or commercial roles within international manufacturing organizations
  • Demonstrated success in P&L management and operational leadership, with strong analytical and financial acumen
  • Proven ability to transform strategic initiatives into executable operational solutions across complex global environments
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP and advanced data analysis tools
  • Excellent organizational skills, leadership capabilities, and stakeholder management abilities at senior and executive levels
  • Fluent English skills (both written and spoken) are mandatory; proficiency in German is a strong advantage
  • Strong expertise in contract negotiation, risk mitigation, and the implementation of safe manufacturing practices
  • This role will require, 40-50% domestic and international travel


The salary range for this position is, $145,000-$200,000
