Healthcare Facility Planner
The Healthcare Facility Planner will support healthcare system planning and analytics for federal clients by contributing to program development, operational modeling, and strategic facility evaluations. Working collaboratively with senior planners, engineers, and project leadership, the Planner will provide data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to support healthcare delivery modernization, space programming, and infrastructure investments. This role emphasizes healthcare planning analytics, clinical strategy alignment, and stakeholder-focused reporting-particularly within Department of Defense (DoD) and Veterans Affairs (VA) environments. Compensation & Benefits: Estimated Starting Salary Range for Healthcare Facility Planner: $ Pay commensurate with experience. Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice. Responsibilities Include:
- Support facility and regional healthcare planning through data collection, interpretation, and analytical modeling.
- Assist in the development of healthcare delivery strategies aligned with system-wide goals and service line needs.
- Conduct financial analysis, performance benchmarking, and scenario planning for space and staffing projections.
- Support clinical strategy development, including alignment of services to future operational requirements.
- Normalize and forecast healthcare data (e.g., patient demand, utilization, staffing) for planning deliverables.
- Assist in preparing reports, planning documents, and executive presentations that summarize insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to Healthcare Requirements Analyses (HCRAs), business cases, and strategic master plans.
- Participate in client meetings and facilitate data validation, stakeholder engagement, and alignment with planning objectives.
- Research emerging healthcare delivery trends and incorporate relevant planning metrics and innovations into project outputs.
Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested: Education:
Experience:
- Demonstrated experience in healthcare system planning, data analysis, and infrastructure programming.
- Preferably experienced with federal healthcare agencies such as the Department of Defense (DoD), Veterans Affairs (VA), or the Defense Health Agency (DHA).
- Experience interpreting healthcare data and applying financial analysis to support strategic decisions.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Understanding of regional healthcare delivery models, clinical operations, and infrastructure planning.
- Skilled in data acquisition, validation, and modeling techniques related to healthcare services.
- Proficiency with tools such as Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau, or other analytics and visualization platforms.
Abilities:
- Ability to synthesize complex datasets into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and client stakeholders.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical content to non-technical audiences.
