Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Associate Technician to join our security business unit.

Primary Responsibilities:

The Associate Installation Technician- Healthcare Communications (HCC) will:



  • Assist/ support HCC Technician(s) with repair/maintenance and installation of Healthcare Communication systems throughout New England.
  • Perform low voltage cable installation, cable management, cable terminations, device installation, general installation support for Foreman, and other assigned support duties as required.
  • Assist in producing accurate documentation of the system commissioning, certification, and testing results.
  • Provide daily project status updates, as required, and communication to the Project Management team.
  • Think clearly and logistically to make accurate decisions based on personal and professional judgement and verifiable criteria.


    Basic Qualifications:




    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Minimum of 0-1 years' experience with the installation and commissioning of low voltage/ Data Communication systems including Healthcare, Audio/Visual, and Telephony systems.
    • Some construction/ industry experience required.
    • Cabling and low voltage infrastructure experience required.
    • OSHA 10 required.
    • Proficient communication skills, especially working in occupied and sensitive environments.
    • Proficient in cabling best practices- running, supporting, and terminating category rated and multiconductor cabling.
    • Experience with Fire Stopping; must be able to fire stop any penetrations made or found.
    • Proficient with computers and basic Microsoft Windows Applications.
    • Experienced with basic low voltage crimp tools, testing tools (meters, toners, etc.) and the use of other construction related tools (ladders, drills, etc.)
    • Must be able to demonstrate persistence, tactfulness, and responsibility; maintain silence regarding confidential information; make decisions based on personal judgement and verifiable criteria; deal effectively with people in actual job duties beyond giving and receiving instruction; read and interpret job scopes, one lines, floor plans, test reports and other related project documentation.
    • Must be self-motivated and work well with others in a team environment.
    • Must possess strong written and oral communication skills.


    Preferred Qualifications:



    • Experience with Nurse Call systems/ equipment is considered a plus.
