Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Applications Engineer II to join our shared services team.

Primary Responsibilities:



  • Provide advanced remote support to operations and service teams for the configuration, programming, and troubleshooting of access control and video management systems (VMS).
  • Assist with system commissioning, database configuration, credential integration, and device programming for supported platforms.
  • Respond to service escalations and provide Tier II/III support for complex system issues.
  • Collaborate with field teams during system cutovers, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Interpret system documentation, wiring diagrams, and as-built drawings to assist with field-based troubleshooting.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge of supported manufacturers and platforms (e.g., LenelS2, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, Exacq, etc.).
  • Support the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs), system configuration templates, and knowledge base documentation.
  • Participate in product testing, firmware validation, and pilot rollouts for new technologies or updates.
  • Ensure accurate ticket documentation and timely response in alignment with service-level expectations.


Basic Qualifications:



  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in electronic security systems, with a focus on access control and video surveillance platforms.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows-based applications, IP networks, and security system components.
  • Experience with common security software platforms (e.g., LenelS2, Genetec, Milestone, Avigilon, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and support multiple concurrent issues.
  • Certifications from major manufacturers (e.g., Lenel, Genetec, Milestone) are a plus.
  • Willingness to participate in a rotating on-call schedule or after-hours support as needed.
