Here's what you'd do:

• Responsible for fabricating and welding filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment.
• Use independent judgment and initiative to complete projects on a timely and safe basis.
• Fabricates filtration equipment, pipe, and various structural equipment from blueprints and work orders.
• Understands and applies AWS welding symbols.
• Completes and submits shop work orders, rework, and miscellaneous sheets to update individual utilization reports on a daily basis or as needed, ensuring hours worked equals hours paid.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
• Leads your department by example.
• Supports and promotes all company policy, supports the Manager of the department in company policy and department procedure policy, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices.
• Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
• Seeks constructive resolution of drawings, bill of materials, NAR's, routings, and ECN changes.
• Maintains work area in a neat, orderly, and safe condition.
• Ensures adherence to safety rules and regulations and quality procedures.
• May train other employees on specific procedures regarding products.

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of operating experience in preheat- cutting torch, stud welder, and overhead crane
• Minimum 2 years of experience in welding processes GMAW and FCAW at a minimum

• Successful completion of AWS-1G unlimited thickness certification, or ASTM Section 9 certification.
• Computer literate
• Proven knowledge of the American Welding Society welding symbols and codes.
• Welding skills should include selecting proper wire, shielding gases, and setting wire feed speeds and voltage to obtain a balanced arc condition.
• A strong sense of urgency, initiative, and the ability to understand and solve fabrication problems.
• Must work well in a team environment.
