Description

We are seeking a skilled and security-conscious Microsoft 365 Administrator to join our team as we begin a major transition to Microsoft cloud services across our hybrid environment. We require a professional who brings a deep understanding of Microsoft 365 technologies, and hybrid infrastructure integration. This role is critical to ensuring the secure and efficient rollout of cloud services, while maintaining a seamless experience for users across on-premises and cloud platforms.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Lead the administration and rollout of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Teams, and Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) within a hybrid Active Directory environment.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across CT, InfoSec, and compliance to align cloud deployments with regulatory and risk management frameworks utilizing tools such as Purview and Defender.
  • Collaborate with other roles to deliver Azure server, networking, database, application development, and DevOps solutions.
  • Manage hybrid mail flow, user identity synchronization (AAD Connect), licensing, MFA, and Conditional Access Policies.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on Microsoft cloud architecture and help define governance models for Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive within a financial services context.
  • Implement and support data loss prevention (DLP), eDiscovery, sensitivity labeling, encryption policies, and retention policies using Microsoft Purview.
  • Monitor and maintain system performance, uptime, service health, and compliance using the Microsoft 365 admin center, Microsoft Defender for Office 365, and Azure Monitor.
  • Work closely with InfoSec and audit teams to ensure compliance with banking industry regulations and prepare for internal and external audits.
  • Document procedures, configurations, and change controls aligned with ITIL standards and the organization's change management policies.
  • Assist in the development of user training and provide tier-3 support to IT teams and power users.


Required Qualifications:



  • 3-5 years of experience administering Microsoft 365 in a medium to large enterprise, ideally in the banking or financial services industry.
  • Strong experience managing hybrid Exchange environments, Entra ID (Azure AD), and identity synchronization tools (e.g., Azure AD Connect, AD FS).
  • Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 security and compliance tools, including Purview, Conditional Access, MFA, and Microsoft Defender.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for automation, bulk administration, and reporting.
  • Familiarity with data residency, retention, and regulatory requirements specific to financial institutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead or support email migrations, SharePoint Online deployments, and Teams governance in hybrid environments.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field-or equivalent experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Microsoft certifications such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MS-500 (Security Administrator), or AZ-104 (Azure Administrator).
  • Background in supporting IT audits and risk assessments in a financial institution.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Microsoft Graph API) is a plus.
